James Carrey was
born on January 17th, 1962 in New Market, Ontario, Canada, to his parents
Percy and Kathleen. JIm's family when he was younger was poor so these
conditions helped this young star to get a job and start making money to
help out. |
| While in his
teens, Jim worked as a janitor and his dad lost his job and he ended up
dropping out of High School. |

At 15, he had
enough time to perform at Yuk's Yuk's, a famous comedy club where he began
to perfect his "art". After doing well there he moved to LA and
tried at the comedy circuit there. Once he was discovered by Rodney
Dangerfield, he was put on tour. |
| In 1990, Jim
starred in a movie as the only white guy in the all African American
Comedy Show, "In Living Color". |

In 1994, Jim
first came Ace Ventura :Pet Detective, a surprise hit. Then he starred in
The Mask. He also starred in Dumb and Dumber with Jeff Danials. There he
met actress and now ex-wife, Lauren Holly. |
