The Hall of Fame is very significant.  There is one for every sport.  The best players get elected into The Hall to show how good they are.  The football Hall of Fame is in Canton, Ohio.  To get elected you have to be retired for at least 4 years.

 

Walter Payton is one of the greatest players to ever play.  He played from 1975 to 1987 on the Chicago Bears.  He is in 2nd for all time in rushing yards with 16,726.  He's also ranked in these positions: 2nd all time in rushes, 3rd in rushing td's, 2nd in yards of scrimmage, and 6th in rushing and receiving td's.  He also went to the pro bowl nine times.
Terry Bradshaw was probably the best quarterback Pittsburgh ever had.  He played from 1970 to 1983.  In the time that he was there they won 4 super bowls. He is ranked all time in pass attempts, completions, passing yards, and passing TD's.     

Future Hall of Famer Barry Sanders would have broken the all time rushing record but he retired early.  He played with the Detroit Lions from 1989 to 1998.  He is 3rd in rushes, 3rd in rushing yards, 6th in rushing td's, 4th in yards from scrimmage, and 10th in rushing and receiving td's. 
Joe Namath was one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play.  He played with the New York Jets 1965 to 1977.  He was a 5 time pro bowler. He ranked all time in passing attempts, completions, passing yards, and passing td's.  He's one of the great quarterbacks to come out of western pa.    

Future Hall of Famer John Elway is one of the greats.  He played on the Broncos from 1983 to 1998.  He went to 9 Pro Bowls.  He also went to 5 Super Bowls winning 2 and losing 3.  All time he is ranked in the top 4 in passing attempts, completions, passing yards, and passing td's.  He will soon be in the Hall of Fame.
Bart Starr was one of the greatest quarterbacks ever.  He played with the Green Bay Packers from 1956 to 1971.  He was on the team while Vince Lombardi coached.  They won the first Super Bowl along with a few more.  He went to the Pro Bowl 4 times.  Even though he's only ranked in passing yards he was still incredible. 

Marcus Allan was a great running back.  He played for the Raiders from 1982 to 1992 then played with the Chief's from 1993 to 1997.  He has one of the most famous Super Bowl runs of all time in 1983.  He's ranked in the top 10 in rushes, rushing yards, rushing td's, yards from scrimmage, and rushing and receiving td's.  He also in the top 50 in receptions. He went to the Pro Bowl 6 times.   
Joe Montana is another Hall of Famer from western Pa.  he went to High School at Ringold.  He played on the 49ers from 1979 to 1992 then played with the Chiefs from 1993 to 1994.  He went to 8 Pro Bowls.  He won 4 Super Bowls.  All time he is ranked in the top 8 in pass attempts, completions, passing yards, and passing td's.  He was great.
