Rules of Lacrosse

Lacrosse Positions

Lacrosse is the fastest moving sport on 2 feet. Lacrosse is played with 3 attack men 3 midfielders 3 defensemen and 1 goalie. The attack men run from the midfield line to the goal there team is trying to score on, the midfielders, or middies, as they are sometimes called they run the whole field, defensemen run from the midfield line to the the goal they are defending and they use a 6 foot long stick and the goalie can run as a defensemen but they usually just stay is the net.

The Field & Ball

Lacrosse is played on a field that is 60 yards wide and 110 yards long.  there are 3 different lines the midfield line and the 2 restraining lines.  The ball white or orange and weights from 5-5.25 oz.

The Goal

The goal is 6 ft wide and 6 feet high and7 ft deep. there is a crease around the goal that is 9 ft in radius.

The Dress

When playing lacrosse you must wear a helmet gloves arm pads shoulder pads and you can wear rib pads and a cup.  Your jersey must have your number on the front and back and your whole team must have the same color.
