Persian cats have been a popular breed since the Victorian times, in the 18th century. They are known in America as Persians and as Persian Longhairs in the United Kingdom. Since the 18th century, Persian cats have changed in appearance. Their faces have become rounder and flatter, their ears, which are wide apart and low on their heads, have become smaller, and their coats have become fuller. They have long, thick fur. Persian cats also have short, bushy tails, big round paws that are covered with fur, short legs, and a round body.

On this web page, you will learn about four different kinds of Persian cats; light- colored Persians, dark- colored Persians, Cameo Persians, and Himalayan Persians.
