Thomas Matthew DeLonge is the 28 year old guitarist for Blink 182. He was born on December 13, 1975. Tom is a Sagittarius. He was born in San Diego, CA, and also grew up there. He spent all his time skateboarding, skateboarding, and some more skateboarding. Then music came into his life when he got a guitar for his birthday when he was a freshman in high school. "I am the founding member of blink." Tom was kicked out of Poway High in 1992 for going to a high school basketball game drunk. He was forced to attend Rancho Bernardo High for one semester. He became friends with Anne Hoppus, Mark's sister. |

"Being
kicked out of school was bad, but it was also the best thing in my life.
Because none of us would be here today. Blink 182 is one million percent
around today because I got kicked out of school."
The band came together one night in August 1992 in Tom's garage. "Instantly, I felt like we had the exact same music style; he just had it on a different instrument than me." |

One
of Tom's favorite parts of being in a band was doing shows. He was always
putting up fliers and calling people to advertise themselves. He just
loved performing.
One of their best albums, Dude Ranch, was a favorite of Tom. "I was extremely happy with that album. That was the first decent recording we had, everything sounded so amazing. Now, of course, there are things we'd like to change, but then, I thought it was perfect." |

We're just trying to have a good time, trying to make ourselves laugh,
make the kids laugh. We don't have a bugger message than that."
