Final Fantasy VII is the continuation of the series started in the 1980's in Japan. The Final Fantasy series was created when a company called Squaresoft made a game to try to save itself from bankruptcy. Final Fantasy was such a success, that not only did Squaresoft save itself, but they have continued the series, and there are about thirteen games with Final Fantasy involved. Although Final Fantasy is considered a series, the characters don't carry from game to game. |
