Kevin was born on October 3, 1972 in Lexington, Kentucky. He spent his childhood on a 10-acre farm in a log cabin. When Kevin was 8 his family moved to the Appalachian Mountains where his father ran a summer camp. 

Kevin enjoyed singing and dancing and was even offered a job as a dance instructor at a local dance studio. He also thought that he might become a pilot and he talked to an air force recruiter. Ultimately he decided to stick to music.

Kevin moved to Orlando seeing all the jobs that the theme parks had to offer the young people. He worked as a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle and then switched to Aladdin. Then in 1993 he heard about 4 guys looking for another singer and he saw his chance.

Before Kevin moved to Orlando he was a ballroom dance instructor in Kentucky. 

 Kevin is the most determined of the group. When he sets his mind on something he doesn't give up which earned him his nick-name "The Train".
