Butterfly is my worst stroke, but I still have to swim it correctly. It is the most tiring and hardest stroke to master. To do Butterfly you kick  up and down with both your feet together. Then you move your arms over your shoulder towards each other a little bit. You have to reach out when you do the stroke. When your hands are underwater you separate them a little bit. Then quickly move your arms out of the water and continue everything over again. You have to move your hips a lot to help you move. That is how you swim Butterfly.

Butterfly is the most difficult to master. For this stroke you must have the most upper body strength and leg strength.

Most times people who swim butterfly injure their shoulders. simply because that's how they move through the water, with the strength of their arms , and they have to move at a quick pace.

Breathing techniques for butterfly are very simple, after you kick twice you will have the momentum to brng your arms above the water and take a stroke.

This is a whole length of the pool that is considered a 25, or 25 yards. most of the events are longer than 50 yards for a sprint, but for long distance most for the events are at least 100 - 200 yards long.

Practices for butterfly are usually two hours long for recreation. It is from 5 to 7 for the faster kids in eighth grade or lower, every weekday. In the middle of eighth grade you will start practicing with the high school team. When you practice with the high school people you will also start morning practices that start at 5:45am. The other practice for recreation is 7 to 9 for the slower kids and the eight and under. They practice on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. This practice is mostly for the peoples who are new to the swim team.
