This is Demetreus Gore. Gore played on the Panthers during there 1984-1988 as number 33. Gore was the team leader and a shooting guard for the Panthers. He was always a  show boater always getting the crowd into the game. Gore was known for his dunks. He was a big dunker just like Julius Page is now.

This is Jerome Lane. He is 6-6 and weighs 215 pounds. Lane was born in Akron, Ohio and then went on scholar ship to Pitt.  Lane played on the Panthers from 1985-1989 as number 34. Lane was a small forward and loved to go in the post because of his quickness. Jerome played 5 years in the NBA on the Denver Nuggets and then he retired because of injury.

This is Charles Smith. He is 6-10 and weighs 225 pounds. He was number 32 on the Panthers and had one of the best jump shots on the Panthers. Charles was from Bridgeport, Connecticut and was offered a scholarship but pasted it up and went to Pitt. After playing at Pitt, he played in the NBA for 10 years on the LA Clippers and the NY Knicks.  

This is John Calipari, he played on Pitt when he was young. John was a star at Pitt and then continued playing basketball in the NBA. John is now a coach at the NBA's Memphis Grizzlies . John was going to come back to Pitt and coach when Howland left, but only if Pitt was desperate to get a coach, which they weren't and they just got the assistant  coach to take the job.

This is Donatas Zavackas number 5 on the Panthers. He is a 6-8 forward and is  238 pounds.  He was born April 20, 1980 in Klaipeda, Lithuania. He is a son of Kazys and Rima Zacvackas and they both speak Lithuania and Russian. Donatas left his home at 17 to play basketball in the United States in NJ. He new just to words in English and they were hi and bye. His mother Rima has never been to the United States to watch him play so he sends her game tapes to watch. He is a major in economics.

This is Jaron Brown number 4 of the Panthers. He is a 6-4 small forward and is  229 pound. Jaron was born on December 7th, 1979 in Lexington , Kentucky. He is a son of Greg and Rebecca Brown. Brown played in front of his hometown fans when Pitt advanced to the 2002 Sweet Sixteen in Lexington. He came to Pittsburgh in the same signing class with teammates Brandin Knight, Donatas Zavackas, and Ontario Lett. He roomed with Ontario at Pitt.

This is Chevon Troutman number 2 on the Panthers. He is a 6-7 forward and weighs 236 pounds. He was born on November 25th, 1981 in Williamsport, PA. He is a son of Steve and Gayann Troutman. He has for brothers, there names are Shawn, Albert, Tony, and Michael Troutman. He also has three sisters Gayann, Jatoya, and Alexis Troutman. His nickname is Chevy. Chevy chose Pitt over UMASS, Duquesne, and LaSalle.
