d In the 1985-86 season, Coffey scored
48 goals, breaking Orr's NHL record for most goals by a
defenseman, and added 90 assists for 138 points .That achievement earned
by Coffey his second James Norris Trophy as the best defensemen in
the NHL. One season later Coffey was traded to the Penguins .In Coffey's
first year in Pittsburgh and was an important part to the pens when
they won two straight Stanley Cups in the 1990-91 season. He scored
24 goals that season and added 69 assists for 93 points. |
