Ashanti and her mom help each other a lot. Ashanti has made her first mark on the music scene early this year singing on hits by rappers Ja Rule "Always On Time" and Fat Joe "What's Luv?". Then in April, Ahanti,now 22, released her own self-titled debut album with its No. 1 single, "Foolish." |

few months ago Ashanti published her own poetry book. Foolish/Unfoolish:
Reflections on Love. She wrote mostly about what was on her mind at how
she feels. Her mother, Tina, she says was an inspiration to most of her
work. Tina has had Ashanti's back and has helped her in anyways to get her
where she is now. |
