Vert
Vert skating is where skateboarders ride on
"U" shaped ramps called half pipes. They launch themselves into the
air and do there tricks while they're airborne.
Vert is not as popular as street skating because usually there isn't a half pipe when you walk out your front door. Almost all half pipes are at skate parks now.
A less popular way of skating vert is in pools. When there is a drained pool with a smooth enough transition it is one of the best things to skate. It's like a free skate park but you have to deal with the pool's owner.
