Honus Wagner began his career as a Pirate in 1900.  His career ended in 1917.  In his career he hit 101 homeruns and had a lifetime batting average of .329.  Honus is considered the best shortstop the game has ever seen.
In 1962, Bill Maz led the team in  RBI's.  Bill was inducted into the baseball hall of fame in 2000.  Bill was not only known as a hitter but for his glove to.  Bill hit a game winning World Series home run in 1960.
Roberto Clemente began his Pirate career in 1955.  He led the pirates in many categories during his career.  Roberto won the gold glove from 1961-1972.  Roberto was the Pirates MVP in 1966.  Roberto was inducted into the hall of fame in 1973.  Roberts has 3,000 hits.
Willie "Pops" Stargell began his Pirate career in 1962.  Throughout the years he led the Pirates in many categories.  In 1979 Willie was the Pirates MVP.  Willie hit 475 homeruns during his career.  Willie was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1988.  The Pirates retired his number 8.
Ralph Kiner began his Pirate career in 1946.  He has 369 lifetime homeruns.  He has 1015 RBI's.  In 1975, Ralph Kiner was inducted into the Hall of Fame.  The Pittsburgh Pirates retired his famous number 4.
Vernon Law ranks 6th on the Pirates all time wins list with 162 wins.  He is 5th in the strikeouts category with 1,092 strikeouts.  Vernon Law was one of the best pitchers the Pirates ever had.  His number wasn't retired.
Number 35 Manny Sanguillen was an all-star catcher.  In 1975, Manny led the Pirates in Batting Average with an average of .328.  Manny was liked by all the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Kent Tekulve was the Pirates closer during the 1970's.  Kent had the most saves in Pirates history until Mike Williams passed him by.  Kent had 158 saves during his Pirate career.
