Appaloosas

Appaloosas are usually around 14.2- 15.2 hands.  The color is spotted and the skin is mottled. The conformation of the Appaloosa is with well shaped necks, short- strong back, and strong limbs and hard feet.  Appaloosa horses are used for many different things.  Long ago they were used for traditional mounts for the Nez- Pierce Indians.  The Appaloosas are now widely used for all types of western riding, endurance riding and in the show ring in both hunter and jumper classes.
