The Elves of Middle- earth are the oldest and fairest of all the races.  They possess magical powers and they can create all sorts of beautiful things.  Elves are immortal and ageless.  Most of the Elves live at Rivendell, which is and ancient refuge.  They are tall and slender, and they walk lightly upon the earth.

Elrond

Elrond was around almost 3,000 years ago when  the elves and men fought the battle against Sauron.  He established the refuge, Rivendell.  When a man named Isilidur had cut the Ring from Sauron's hand, Elrond tried to persuade Isilidurto throw the Ring into the fires of Mt. Doom.  But Isilidur was greedy and and wanted the Ring all for himself.  He kept the Ring.  Elrond was the one who called a council between all the representatives of the Free People of Middle-earth to decide what to do with the Ring.

Arwen

Arwen is one of the most beautiful and fairest among all living things.  She is the daughter of Elrond and the granddaughter of Galadrial, the Lady of the Wood.  Arwen's hair is dark and her eyes are a dark blue.  She is immortal like her father and is thousands of years old.  She was raised with the Elves of Lothlorien  in the Wood.  When she returned home to her father, she fell in love with a man named Aragorn, son of Arathorn.  Elrond had rasied Aragorn when his parents passed away.  Arwen loved Aragorn so much, that she was willing to give up her immortal life to live a mortal life with him.

 Galadriel

Galadriel is known as "the lady of light" and is an Elven queen of extraordinary beauty.  She is a lady of great power.  She possess a magical mirror that can show that past, the present, and sometimes even the future.  She is married to Lord Celeborn who comes from the northern kingdom of Mirkwood.  Galadriel and Celeborn have kept their wood safe for the Elves who have chosen to remain in Middle- earth.    She presents the Fellowship with many gifts including, elven cloaks, an elven kind of frrod called waybread, bows and arrows, daggers, a special kind of rope and for Frodo, she gave him the light of Earendril which would help him when all other lights go out.

Legolas

	Legolas is also an Elf.  He is a prince and his name means Greenleaf.  His father is King Thranduil of the Woodland Realm.  Legolas know the man known as Strider.  He knows who he truly is.  He's not to fond of the Dwarves, but hr ends up with a particular Dwarf named Gimli, who like Legolas, is part of the Fellowship.
Legolas has many useful skills, which come in handy when he's with the Fellowship.  He can move swiftly and lightly across the earth.  He is a master at woodcraft and can scan the enviroment and spot danger miles away.  He had a deadly shot with his long bow and he never misses.  He carries two Elf-knives which are deadly because Elves make the deadliest weapons on earth.
