Football: 10 favorite players

	Randy Moss has amazing skill. His height gives him an advantage over smaller defensive backs. His leaping and catching ability amazes. Moss played for Marshall in college. He was then drafted by Minnesota in 1998. He caught over 1,000 yards and won the 1998 Rookie of the Year Award. Moss has received over 1,000 yards in this first 5 seasons. He also set a record for fewest games to reach 5,000 career receiving yards in 51 games. In the 2002-2003 season, Moss was 2^nd in the NFL with 1,347 receiving yards, 3^rd in the NFL with 106 receptions and had 7 touchdowns.
	Terrell Owens is a wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers with power and speed. He has great playmaking abilities and his celebrations are even better than his plays. Owens went to college in Chattanooga. He has so far played in the NFL for 7 years. He ahs made several Pro Bowl appearances. In the 2002-2003 season, he was first in the NFL for wide receivers with 13 touchdowns, 5^th in the NFL with 100 receptions, and had 1,300 receiving yards. Owens always puts on a show after a touchdown too. He ahs signed a football with his now well-known Sharpie and danced with a cheerleader’s pompoms.
	Peyton Manning is a quarterback with great throw power and throw accuracy. He is the Colts leader and one of their top players. Manning went to Tennessee for college. He has made 2 Pro Bowl appearances in the NFL. He passed for 4,200 yards in the 2002-2003 NFL season. He also threw for 27 touchdowns and had a 66.6% completion percentage. Peyton Manning is on his way to the Hall of Fame.
	Michael Vick is known around the league for his speed and running ability. Why is that so special? Because Vick is the Atlanta Flacons quarterback. His running ability and great arm make him a top QB in the NFL. Vick went to Virginia Tech. for college and made himself a well known player. He was a top prospect after his senior year and was drafted by the Falcons. He has been in the league for 2 years now. In the 2002-2003 season, he threw for 2,936 yards, threw 16 touchdowns, rushed for 777 yards, and had rushing touchdowns. Vick is a young player who is already a superstar and should continue to amaze.
	Edgerrin James is a running back with great speed and agility. He has explosiveness off the line and never gives up running. James played for Miami (Florida) in college. He came into the NFL in 1999 and won the Rookie of the Year Award that season. He won the rushing title his rookie and second season in the NFL. He was out a lot of the 2001-2002 season with an injury. He also had problems in the 2002-2003 season because of the same injury. He rushed for 989 yards, had 2 rushing touchdowns, had a 3.6 yards per carry average, had 61 receptions, had 354 receiving yards, and had 1 receiving touchdown.
	Keyshawn Johnson is the top wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He helped the Bucs win this year’s Super Bowl. Keyshawn went to Southern California for college. He has made an impact in the NFL. In the 2002-2003 season, Keyshawn had 76 receptions, 1,088 receiving yards, and 5 touchdowns. He also accomplished every NFL players dream. This year, he had won the Super Bowl. He helped the Bucs to defeat the Raiders.
	Charles Woodson is a defensive back with great speed. He went to Michigan for college. He won the Heisman Trophy and was the Raiders first round pick in the 1998 draft. He was named Defensive Rookie of the Year in 1998. He had 31 tackles, 1 interception, 4 forced fumbles, and 1 fumble recovery in the 2002-2003 season. Woodson played in this years Super Bowl, but suffered a loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Woodson is a young star in the NFL.
	Marvin Harrison is the #1 receiver for the Colts. He has great hands that makes him Pro Bowl caliber. He went to Syracuse for college. He has played in the NFL for 7 years. In the 2002-2003 season, he set a new NFL record for most receptions in a season with 143 receptions. He also received 11 touchdowns and caught 1,722 yards.
	Hines Ward is a wide receiver with catching ability, running ability, passing ability, and is one of the best blocking wide receivers in the league. He went to Georgia for college. He has played 5 seasons in the NFL so far. He had made 2 Pro Bowl appearances. In the 2002-2003 season, he caught 112 receptions, 1,329 receiving yards, 12 touchdowns, and rushed for 142 yards. Hines Ward has blossomed into the Steelers’ top wide receiver.
	Kendrell Bell is a hard hitting linebacker for the Steelers. He has great quickness and acceleration. He plays with an intensity. Bell went to Georgia for his college career. He was drafted by the Steelers in 2001 and quickly became a defensive star. He won the Defensive Rookie of the Year award that season. He had a high ankle sprain in the 2002-2003 season which sidelined him for several games. This year, Bell had 37 tackles, 4 sacks, and 1 fumble recovery.
