The Story
The band started after Benji and Joel went to a Beastie Boys concert, it was their first concert. The Madden brothers moved to California and then back to Waldorf, Maryland to form Good Charlotte. Originally the group had a drummer, Aaron, he left the group. The band started out in 1996, and moved to Annapolis, Maryland in 1998 for the thriving music scene. The band played for Blink 182, Bad religion, and opened for Lit on the East Coast Tour. Good Charlotte toured on the warped tour in 2002. The band broke record oh Philadelphia radio WPLY. Benji and Joel got a lot of publicity for the group because they hosted All Things That Rock on MTV as well as hosting TRL a few times. Good Charlotte is signed with Epic Records and have released two albums with them, Good Charlotte(2000) and The Young and the Hopeless(2002).
