The Sims for Nintendo GameCube has 2 great playing modes! Get a Life mode and the normal mode, Play the Sims mode. Only Get a Life mode is selectable at first, you will unlock Play the Sims mode after completing the Dream House tutorial sequence.

In Get a Life mode you'll lead your Sims through life's easy and hard times. You will need to move your Sims into a bigger, better home by helping your Sims thorough life. There are 7 levels to Get a Life mode that has a number of goals that you must complete to advance. After you complete each goal, a new item will become available for you to get and purchase to upgrade your house.

The other mode is Play the Sims mode. In Play the Sims mode, you can create an entire neighborhood, build your own house and boss your neighbors (I like that). There are no goals to achieve is Play the Sims mode, just the goals you give yourself. If you do get tired at a particular family, evict them! Remember, everything is at your power.
