Family Role: Keeping the family together

    Marge is the only one who keeps the Simpson family together. Without her it would all fall apart. She is an energetic and loving wife and mother. Marge sometimes can't take the stress of living with the rest of them and has had breakdowns. She also likes to cook.

Marge's History

     You may think of Marge as the "boring" character, but in fact, she hasn't had a shortage of adventures herself. Marge came up with the idea for Springfield to host a film festival, she organized a boycott of the violent cartoon, Itchy & Scratchy. Marge painted a portrait of Springfield's richest man, Mr. Burns. Some of the things Marge isn't so proud of include developing a gambling addiction, going on the lam with her brief neighbor Ruth Powers, and having road rage . She has worked in the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant for a short time. Marge has also been a Springfield police officer and has conquered her fear of flying.
