    Homer isn't the smartest man in the world,infact, you could classify him in the below average range in terms of intelligence. The important thing though is that he means well. Things just don't always turn out the way they're supposed to. Sure, call him fat. Call him lazy. Say he doesn't have brains, but just remember one thing...he doesn't care what you think. It's Homer.

Homer's History

       Homer was once mistaken for bigfoot. He was the mascot for the Springfield Isotopes. He has been committed to a mental institute. Believe it or not, Homer has been in space as a NASA astronaut. He was the neighbor of former President George Bush. At Hullabalooza Homer was used as a human cannonball target. Homer was a boxer and stepped into the ring with the heavyweight champion. Of course he lost though. He was an alcohol bootlegger. Mel Gibson and Homer worked on a movie together. In "Simpson Tide" Homer captained a navy submarine. He has had a triple bypass. I "Mayored to the Mob", Homer became a bodyguard for Mayor Quimby. He voiced "Poochy" for a cartoon. He became a food critic and was almost killed for it because he gave bad ratings. Homer loves to bowl and has a bowled a 300 game. After pledging $10,000 to PBS he seeks help to get out of it and ends up becoming a missionary on a small island. That's just part of what Homer has done during the time The Simpsons started.
