The U.S. has had an influence on Japan as well as they have had one on us. We were once enemies because of World War 2. But now we have no conflict. Many things that are popular in Japan are popular here, and vice versa. In Japan, baseball is becoming a favorite sport. There is also a Disneyland in Tokyo. In the United States, anime, or Japanese cartoons, are becoming increasingly popular. If you've heard of the show Samurai Jack, that is a combination of American cartoons mixed with a Japanese theme.  Some influences are longer than others, such as us driving Japanese cars like Mitsubishi.
