Kittens are very friendly and will love you and all of your other pets if you introduce them correctly.  When you get a new kitten and you have another pet, introduce them at a young age.  (2-7 weeks old)  Let the resident smell and play with the newcomer.

Curious kittens can be very troublesome.  Let your cat know what is theirs and what they should leave alone.  Give them toys to play with.  They enjoy sprinting and jumping on their "prey".

Wrestling, pouncing, and hunting are what cats do best.  Kittens learn how to hunt when they concentrate on moving objects.  Kittens tend to wrestle with each other, but don't get worried, they are only having fun.  Sometimes, though, it gets a little too serious, so keep a eye out for them.

Kittens will decide for themselves it they like humans or not.  You can do some things to ensure that your kitten grows up to be a warm-hearted cat.

Hold your kitten firmly and securely.  Do not be tense or unsure of yourself because kittens will become frightened.  Support the rear and the front.

Also, play and pet your new kitten.  Then, he/she will know that humans are kind.  When you follow these rules, your cat will enjoy being held for life.
