Equipment

	Ballet shoes are made for both boys and girls.  If boys take ballet then they would wear black, soft, leather shoes held on by elastic.  The girls' wear ballet shoes that are made satin or leather. They are held on by elastic or ribbon.  The can also do blocked toed shoes called pointe.
In ballet class you wear layers of clothes.  They are very close fitting.  The girls wear a leotards and tights with legwarmers and a crossover that ties in the back.  The boys wear black tights with socks and with a T-shirt.  The girls wear their hair in a bun and a sweatband.  The boys wear sweatbands also.
