Best Player-Made Modules
This is an overview of the best modules created by the community for Neverwinter Nights. There are many different types of modules represented here. There are serious roleplaying modules, high quality hack-and-slash modules, and parody modules. There's something for everybody.

These two modules are a conversion the the D&D classics. There are no absolutely outstanding features in either of them, but the combination of a good storyline, plot, scripting, etc. makes for an enjoyable experience. If you have played the modules in regular D&D, you might be interested to see how they translate into Neverwinter Nights. |

Even though this is only a demo module, it is better than most of the "complete" modules out there. It has an excellent story, as well as great scripting and good area design. I'm definately looking forward to the complete version of this module. |

The Penultima series is a parody of roleplaying games. The first module was out shortly after the game was released. The first module wasn't all that good, because the author was getting used to the toolset. The pace really picks up on the third module, where you find yourself fighting "chaos". There is a great plot twist near the end, which I won't reveal here. |

Shadowlords is possibly the best traditional fantasy series for Neverwinter Nights. It has a decent storyline, and a great balance of dialog and combat. I also like the henchmen in the series. They interrupt in conversations and actually have some charactor, instead of being just another person to help you fight. Another innovative feature of shadowdale is how the author uses triggers to describe scenes. |

This module has the second best scripting of all the modules released ( the first being the Dreamcatcher series). It makes excellent use of cutscenes, and it is obvious the author spent a huge amount of time making it. However, it is far too short to be called a complete module. It is best considered a "demo" of the series. |

Dreamcatcher is the sequel to Shadowdale by the same author, but deserves a different section because it is not really related to the Shadowdale series. It has the best scripting of all the modules currently released, as well as a superb storyline and gameplay. Dreamcatcher is a must play for anybody who owns Neverwinter Nights. |

This is a series you will either love or hate, because it forces you to use a premade charactor, instead of creating your own. I totally agree with the author for doing this, because you still get to customize your character quite a bit. If you can get over this problem, Lone Wolf Chronicles is a series you must play. |
