Neverwinter Nights is a Dungeons & Dragons™ roleplaying game from BioWare, the developers of the bestselling Baldur's Gates I & II. Neverwinter Nights is designed for both the online, multiplayer environment, and single player. It also allows you to experience all the magic of pen-and-paper Dungeon-Mastering on your home computer! Using Neverwinter Nights' powerful and user-friendly toolset, you can create and populate entire new worlds and stories for others to adventure in. You can even manipulate the plot, NPC's, and environment in real time using the dungeon master component!
Neverwinter Nights offers an unprecedented amount of control over the worlds you create. The developers are always adding new capabilities and features. The powerful scripting system allows you to bring your environment to life. The incredible community support, perhaps the most active player community of any game, allows to you add new areas, monsters, and placeables to the game, which you can package into a hackpak to distribute with your module. There are well over 2000 modules already released to the public, and new modules are submitted to the Neverwinter Nights Vault every day!
Here are some of the best creations of the player cummunity, to illustrate the unequalled support for Neverwinter Nights.

If you don't like how the game doesn't let you go below a 40º angle, this is the program for you. The camera hack is very easy to use, and even inspired Bioware to add some of its functionality! You simply run the program, and it adjusts the Neverwinter Nights executable to push back the clip plane, allow you to zoom farther in and out, and allow you to rotate the camera lower. The picture to the left has this hack installed with Mohss's skies. It really makes a huge difference! |

Mohss's skies, when used with the camera hack above, make a huge difference to the immersion of Neverwinter Nights at a very small cost in system performance! The game looks far better with skies and without shadows than the other way around. You should really give it a try. |

This hakpack adds realistic cloaks, robes, kilts, etc. to the game. If you think your wizard looks tacky with the default game clothes, try this hak out! The only problem is that the clothing clips the ground when you do the resting and praying emote. |

This incredible resource is practically the missing manual for the toolset! It has excellent scripting tutorials, a quick primer on the scripting language for previous programers and reference, and a complete description of every function, how to use it, and any other information you need! If you plan on doing any kind of module-making or scripting for Neverwinter Nights, this is a resouce you must have! |

This, along with the Lexicon, is a must have resource for module-makers. It's aimed at the less experienced scripting crowd, but even expert scripters can find a use for it. It allows to make many different kinds of simple scripts. For example, you can make on onPercieved script, an onOpen script, etc. You can choose from a number of different effects, like casting a spell or spell effect, dealing damage, taking gold or XP, etc. Then, you copy and paste the finished script into the Toolset. |

Leto is a great character editor that allows you to customize your characters far more than you can do at the beginning of the game and while levelling up. You can change almost everything except for you inventory, even your appearence! You can make characters that are vampires, werewolves, etc! |
