Michael Jordan 

Michael Jordan has had a very successful career.  Throughout his life time.  Michael led the United States to a gold medal for the Olympic team in 1984.  After the death of his father, Michael retired from basketball to become a minor league baseball player for the Chicago white sox.  But that wasn't his thing.  So when he returned to basketball Michael only scored 19 points in his first game.  Unlike the regular 40-50 points. Critics said he was too old and too out of shape.  In his next game Michael scored 55 points.  In 1996 he was awarded MVP.

 

 

Magic  Johnson

Magic Johnson was 6 feet 9 inches and the tallest point guard in history.  Magic had a special touch for passing the ball at the perfect time.  He could pass the ball from side to side or behind his back without looking.  The first time Magic retired was in 1991 when he found out he had AIDS. Although he made two attempts to come back Magic officially retired in 1996

Julius Erving

Julius Erving was the 3rd pro player to score 30,000 points in his career.  Most people know him for his creative dunking.  He was one of the most creative dunkers ever in the NBA.  Also, Julius had outstanding balance and jumping abilities.  His most famous move started in the 1976 at a dunking championship.  

 

 

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Kareem was born in New York City in 1947.   Kareem is 7 feet 2 inches.  When he retired in 1989 Kareem had an all time lead in 20 categories.

 

Larry Bird 

Larry Bird is 6 feet 9 inches tall. Larry came a small town in Indiana. He is one of the best shooters in history.  Larry was very skilled with shooting with either hand.

Grant Hill

People think that  Grant is the new M.J.  Grant has so much respect for the game of basketball and the players.
