Instead of shooting a ball with your feet. You use your head. The right place to head the ball is on the hairline. Soccer players use this technique to send the ball down field, to pass to teammate, or to score a goal. To properly head a ball you must watch the ball and position yourself  where the ball will land. Use your arms, put them out in front of yourself,   move to the ball with your whole body. Upon impact, bring your shoulders forward, swing your arms back, keep your neck and chin firm, and keep your eyes open. Hit the ball, but make sure you are confident. Headers do not hurt when they are done correctly. Remember that you are hitting the ball, the ball is not hitting you.
