There are many activities that you can do on land and on the sea.  A wide ran of activities include: snorkeling  to boating, shopping to laying on hammocks, and swimming with dolphins to swimming with stingrays.

Boating

This is a great way to see the island better and to have a great time.  You can go on a boat or a jet ski.  The best boats/boating trips are Flying Cloud, Island World, Harbor Island Fast Ferries, and American Cup.

Undersea Activities

There are many ways that you can see under water.  There is snorkeling, scuba diving, Hartley's Undersea Walk, and piloting your own personal SUB.  You can snorkel at a lot of places.  The best place to scuba dive is at Bahamas Divers; if this is your first time scuba diving, they have a 30min. instruction on what to do.  Hartley's Undersea Walk is a great way to see the reef if you do not know how to swim or how to swim well.  SUB Bahamas is where you pilot your own personal SUB.  The tour is 40min.

Blue Lagoon

This is a little island off of Paradise Island.  You have to either go by jet ski or ferry to the island.  This place has practically no grass, all white sand.  While you are here you can lay on hammocks, or you can be more adventures and go snorkeling, scuba diving, volleyball, kayaking, and swimming in the lagoon.  The most famous activity is swimming Dolphin Encounters.  You can actually swim and play with the dolphins.  Another famous activity is Stingray City.  You swim and play with the stingrays.

If you would like to go shopping, the straw market is the place.  This is where you can buy really good Bahamas souvenirs and clothes.  You can bargain here.  When you go, you don't pay full price, EVER.  You bargain them down very low. Like for a necklace they say $10, you say 2 for $10, they say no.  Then you keep trying to bring them down to the price that you want.

For more fun too, you can go to the Atlantis Water park, or go golfing at the Ocean Club's 18 Championship holes golf course.
