1848 gold was found in California. It was what the whole nation
wanted and there was enough for everyone. Everyone found out really quick
and before you new it people from all over came to find the golden
nuggets. Most didn't make the trip from where ever they came from. But
those who did faced harsh reality. The mining towns were rude and mean to
the new comers and the work was backbreaking.
