Tiger Woods is the number one golfer in the world for three years running. Just like his idol Jack Nicklaus, tiger is the most domient player on the P.G.A. Tour. Tiger has earned more than 30 million dollars, just playing golf, nor even including all the endorsements from Nike or Buick. Tiger dedicates all of this success from his father, Earl Woods, who encouraged Tiger his whole life and gave Tiger so much advice. As soon as Tiger was able to stand, his father put a club in his hands. Tiger became famous at the young age of 4, after beating a club pro; he was allowed to play there. |

Tiger was the youngest, at age 15, to win a U.S.G.A. Junior Championship, in 1991, after winning the same tournament again. At first, Tiger was the youngest player to play in the P.G.A. tour event, in LA. Tiger took more and more amateur tournaments winning. He eventually played college golf at Stanford. Tiger played in the ’95 Masters, which stirred up many racial controversial conflicts. Tiger wore his Stanford hat at the Masters to show pride, but it didn’t help. He then qualified for the Tour in ’96. Tiger has been a child prodigy, and kept a sense of stardom in the tour rating in 9 major championships 3 majors out 4 in 2 different seasons. Lee Trevino |

Lee Trevino was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. Raised only by his mother, who was a house cleaner and his grandfather, who was a gravedigger. With his determination and love of the game, Trevino became a legend in a sport, which people come from humble families. His home was located at the back of a golf course, where he would watch people play the sport. Lee dropped out of school in the second grade, where he became a caddie and a greens keeper to keep close to the sport he loved so much. Trevino then enlisted into the Marines, where he learned aspects of life and shaped up. After his stint in the Marines, Trevino worked for a short time as a golf instructor, before joining the professional golf circuit, in 1966. |

Trevino was born on December 1, 1939 and got a nickname of "Supermex". As a P.G.A. Tour player, Lee Trevino captured 29 tour victories and 8 other victories. Lee got his first major victory in 1968 at the US Open, getting a grand total of 6 major championships. Trevino, in 1971, accomplished one of the best winning streaks; winning five tournaments in 16 weeks. Now Trevino lives in Jupiter, Florida and married with four sons and 2 daughters. Now an active player on the champions tour with 29 victories and 9 international victories. Trevino is now considered one of the best to play the game and the most successful Hispanic in golf. |

Jack William Nicklaus was born in Columbus, Ohio, on January 21, 1940. His father, Charles Nicklaus, a pharmacist, who owned 4 chemist’s shops. Charles was an excellent amateur athlete with a son that showed no interest in sports. Charles hurt his ankle and had to walk 2 hours a day, so he picked up golf. Jack adored his father and watched him play, so he watched him play, so he decided to take a swing. He shot a 51 for his first 9 holes he ever played and won the Scioto Club Juvenile trophy. At age 12, Jack started to display talent, his dad said if you can out hit me, I’ll buy you a car. His dad hit the ball 240 meters, Jack approached the tee and hit the ball 265 meters. At age 13, he won his first national tournament, the U.S.G.A. Junior Championship for ages 17 and under. He had 3 on his side before being ineligible. Jack became a member of a local country club, Scioto Country Club. He became known as the local "Bobby Jones". Jack got a chance to play in his first major tournament at age 15, the U.S. Amateur. |
| Little did Jack know that Bobby Jones was watching him, who heard of the child prodigy. Jack won his first major tournament at age 10, the Ohio Open. Jack had no intentions of becoming a professional golfer, he got enrolled into Ohio State University to get a junior pharmacist’s license. Jack won the U.S. Amateur in 1959, along with meeting the love of his life, Barbara, who encouraged him unconditionally. Again, in 1961, Jack won the U.S. Amateur and turned professional. As a P.G.A. Tour Pro, Jack had a total of 71 victories, including those 71 victories, Jack had 18 majors. Nicklaus was the first person to win each major twice. Now he is on the champion’s tour of 10 victories and 6 international victories. Jack, they say, is the best to play the game, but not for long, Tiger woods is right there next to him. |

| Arnold Palmer | |

Arnold Palmer was born on September 10, 1929, in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. The Sega of Arnold began when he was 4 years old, when his father cut down a set of golf clubs for him. His father, Milford J. Palmer, walked at Latrobe Country Club as both golf professional and a course superintendent. Before long Arnie could beat older caddies at the country club. He began caddying himself at 11 and works every other job at the club. Arnold was strongly built and dominant in the sport in Western Pennsylvania. In high school, he won his first five West Penn Amateur Championship at age 17. He was the number 1 player on the Wake Forest University Golf Team. After his close friend died, Arnold dropped out of college and began a 3-year career in the coast guard. |

While stationed in Cleveland and working as a salesman, Arnold regained his love for golf and played ammeter golf. He married in 1959 and joined the P.G.A. tour in 1955. As a professional, Palmer won 61 U.S. P.G.A. Tour victories. Arnie has won the 7 majors including the first person to win the Masters 4 times (1958, 1960,1962, 1964). All of this started with his first pro victory at the 1955 Canadian Open. Arnold Palmer also has a legendary career in the senior tour, when he recently retired from it. Arnie has accumulated a total of 92 victories. Not only is Arnold a great golfer but a great mentor and businessman. Arnold has 2 Honorary Doctors degrees in Law, one in Humanities, and one in Humane Letters. Arnold Palmer has also made many videos for instruction and several books for better golf. So many people adore Arnold for his down to earth personality and friendliness to others. |
