Patrick Roy was born on October 5,1965. In Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. Patrick was drafted in 1984 by the team Montreal Canadians. He played for them until the year 1995. Then he played for the Colorado Avalanche. Where he is currently playing. He holds one record which is he has the most playoff wins in a career. The awards he won were the Conn Smythe Trophy in 1986 and in 1993. Vezina Trophy in 1987, 1990,and 1992. 
The way that Patrick got into the sport of hockey was that he liked the looks of the goaltenders pads. So the next day he asked his dad if he could play as a goalie in the sport of hockey and he played the next. He liked the look or style of the pads so much that he would strap pillows to his legs with a belt. So it would look like goaltending pads. 
Roy's favorite thing that he owns is a goalie stick that a Quebec Nordiques. Daniel Bouchard gave to him at a public appearance.
