| Thomas
Matthew DeLonge Jr. was born on December 13, 1975 in Poway,
California. He has a mom, Cannie, who is a real estate agent; his
dad, Tom Sir, who is an energy company executive; his sister Kari; and his
brother Shon. |

Tom
discovered alcohol at a young age. He as expelled before the age 15
for a year because he was found drinking at a basketball game. When
Tom did return to school, his friends voted him homecoming king to make
the school administrators mad. They had a mutual hate for Tom |
| He
had a lot of fun at night by blowing on his trumpet to wake up his parents
at the wee hours. He wasn't very good at at playing this, but he did
apply himself tot the guitar. Tom got interested in the guitar on a
church camping trip. There he spent more time playing the guitar
than doing the camp activities. Tom's first guitar was from his
friends dad that worked in a dump. The dad found a perfectly good
guitar, so he gave it to Tom |

Tom
wasn't always in tot punk music. On a holiday in Oregon, he went to
visit a friend who was heavily into punk. He introduced Tom to bands
like Stiff Little Fingers, The Descendents, and Dinosaur Jr. Tom
fell in love with these sounds, despite thinking it was nothing but fast
music at first. |

| Not
a long time after high school, Tom got together with his buddy, Mark.
They formed a group called Blink, with old drummer Scott Raynot.
They were forced to change their name because of threats of being sued by
an Irish techno band. |

| Tom's
nickname is "Hotpants". He plays the guitar and does
vocals. He is happily married to Jennifer Jenkins since May 26,
2001. They found each other at a party. Jen is at college
majoring in interior design. Tom just likes to hang out with her,
but regrets when she tells too much in interviews. He has a German
Shepard named Grey, is the youngest member of Blink and now lives in
Encinitas CA. |
