Slipknot got their start at Ozzfest. The first time they came to Ozzfest they were not even signed they played for free. Then the next year which was 2001 they co head lined Ozzfest and got people fighting, pits to get bigger than ever, and a war between the lawn seating and the regular seats it was an all out war.
