Alto Sax

This is a picture of the mouthpiece to the alto saxophone. The piece of wood on it is called a reed. That also helps make the sound. How it does so is it vibrates and sound comes out. You put it on the piece  of cork on the neck.
This is the picture of the neck. It helps the sound travel through the instrument. The piece of cork on it is where the mouthpiece goes. It is put in a hole on the top of the body. The silver part is called the octive key. There is a special button on the back of the body that you press with your thumb to make the key go up and the sound higher.
These are the keys. They are on the body of the sax. They are conected to the body by screws and springs. When the sound goes through it, you can press the keys down to make different pitches. That is how you can play songs.
This is a picture the bell. This is where the sound comes out. It bends outward making a hole in the end. It also bends upward and ends about halfway up the body. That is what makes this sax look cool.
This is a picture of a neckstrap. This is very helpful. It is helpful because it takes most of the weight of the sax off your neck. There is a little hole where you put the hook of the neck strap to keep it in place.
