Equipment

Equipment is a necessity in football.  All the listed equipment below is very important to have in football.  If the equipment is not correctly worn or used, it can lead to serious injury or even death.  So if you play tackle football, make sure you have all this equipment.

	The football is thrown, run, or kicked in a game.  You need a football to play.
Helmets are worn to prevent serious head injury.  It is the most important piece of equipment in football.  The facemask protects your face and the chinstraps keep the helmet on your head.
	Shoulder pads are worn to prevent serious shoulder, chest, or neck injury.  They are mostly made of hard plastic.
