Offensive Players and Stats

Tommy Maddox-is probably the biggest surprise at Quarterback this season. He was named comeback player of the year by the NFL this past year. He led the Steelers to a 8-3-1 and three 4th quarter comebacks this year while he was starting. His final stats for the regular season were 2,836 passing yards in 11 games. He completed 234 passes out of 377, and had 20 td and 16 int.
Jerome Bettis-is one of the best running backs to ever play the game. He was drafted in the first round (10th pick) in 1993 by the St. Louis Rams. He has played in the NFL for 9 years and has had 1000 yards in 6 consecutive seasons. His final stats for the regular season were 666 yards on 187 attempts and had 9 touchdowns.
Amos Zereoue-has been coming on pretty well in the last couple of years, and has mainly been the starter for most of this season, but before this season he had only  come in on third downs. His final stats for the regular season were 762 yards on 193 att. and 4 touchdowns.
Plaxico Burress- is on the verge of becoming one of the best receivers in the league and one of the top superstars. He has great height at 6 feet 6 inches and fabulous catching ability. He and Hines Ward combined this year to become the best receiver core in the league with 180 receptions combined. His final stats for the regular season were 78 rec. 1,325 yards, an average of 17 yards per catch and 7 touchdowns.
Hines Ward-has proven himself in the past two years that he is the best all around receiver in the NFL. He has incredible hands, can run after the catch, can make plays all over the field, and most important is that he can block better than any other receiver in the league. Hines has also been to the Pro Bowl for 2 consecutive years, and set a Steelers record this year for most catches in one season with 112. His final stats for the regular season were 112 rec. 1,329 yards, an average of 11.9 per catch and 12 touchdowns.
Antwaan Randle El- was the Steelers 2nd round pick this year in the 2002 NFL draft (60th overall). He is one of the most exciting rookies of the class because he can play any position and make big plays when he has the ball. He struggled at the beginning of the year, but his last 3 games he had 3 touchdowns. His final stats for the regular season were 47 rec. 289 yards 2 td, 19 rushing attempts for 134 yards 37 punt ret. 257 yards, and 32 kickoff ret. 733 yards 1 td.
