Football is played at a pro level, college level, and high school level, and even earlier like middle school teams or recreational teams. Football has been around for many years. In college there are bowl games for the top teams. They are played in various cities around the United States.  These bowl games on played around Christmas time.

  In professional football there is a super bowl. A team from the American Football Conference (AFC) and a team from the National Football Conference (NFC) are in it. There have been thirty-six super bowls so far. Teams have been in them more than one time.  

Another popular day  to play football is Thanksgiving.  There are always teams playing on Thanksgiving.  The Detroit Lions and the Dallas Cowboys always play on Thanksgiving at there home field.  It is a tradition.  However, the teams that they play change from year to year.
