There is a national team for guys which is called the NBA meaning National Basketball Association and for the girls it's called WNBA which means Women's National Basketball Association. Basketball is in the Olympics and is a great sport to watch. Basketball is very entertaining and can come down to the last seconds of a game to decide a winner.

In the NBA some of the great players are Michael Jordan, Alan Iverson, and Kobe Bryant.  In the WNBA some of the greatest players are Sue Bird, Lisa Leslie, and Sheryl Swoopes.  Women's basketball is not as publicized as men's basketball. They are both on television, but men's sports are more often found in magazines. Women don't get paid nearly as much as men do either.
