The Ganges River Dolphin has a long beak which thickens towards the tip revealing its large teeth. This dolphin has a stocky body with a rounded belly. It has large paddle shaped flippers. The blowhole is located on the left of the head above the tiny, poorly seeing eye. Its eyes function to light to detect things since this dolphin is blind. It is gray-brown in color with a pinkish belly. Their are 28 to 29 teeth on either side of the jaw. |
