This is an interview with Reese byMark Abrahams.  Mark works for a teen magazine called Seventeen.

Mark Abrahams-Did you always know you wanted to be an actress?

Reese-I've known since i was a kid. By the time I was 12, I was doing commercials and looking through the paper to find jobs and an agent. My first big break was starring in The Man in the Moon when I was 14.

Abrahams- You must have a lot of fans since Legally Blonde came out.

Reese-I had this little girl follow me all through the grocery store the other day. She was like my shadow. I turned around and said, "Do I know you?" And she replied, "No, but i know you." I wish kids would come up to me more and ask me what they really want to know. She wanted to know all about the dog in the movie and if I had a dog like that in real life.

Abrahams-Do you lean toward romantic comedies like your latest movie, Sweet Home Alabama?

Reese-I love comedies-the writers and directors are so much fun. But it's stressful, too. I am so lucky to have worked with so many cool people-Adam Sandler, and Selma Blair, who I think is the one of the funniest people on earth.

Abrahams-So what's it like when you go back to the south?

Reese-It's nice to see my old friends from high school and find out what they're doing with their lives. Some are in med school, some of them are teachers, some are in law school. It's really exciting to watch them achieving their life goal and being strong, powerful women I always knew they would be. They're very smart girls.

Abrahams-What is the most southern thing about you?

Reese-Probably my manners. There were a lot of etiquette classes.

Abrahams-What was your biggest shock when you arrived in Hollywood?

Reese-I guess I was pretty shocked when I saw young kinds driving really expensive cars like Porsches and BMWs, and how many fancy cars there were on the street. I remember calling my dad and saying, "Dad, you would never believe it!"

Abrahams-How did Ryan propose?

Reese-He made me my favorite breakfast in bed, waffles with strawberries and cream, and then he proposed.

Abrahams-What has being a mother taught you?

Reese-Lots of stuff. I always thought when I was young that my mother was wrong. You eventually come to the realization that she was correct about everything.
