The American Quarter horse is permissible in almost any plain color.  Their head is small with a broad forehead, wide jaw, and large expressive eyes. This horses' withers are discernible but in particular the rear legs are strongly muscular.  The Quarter horse isn't very big, being 14.3-15.1 hands and 1100-1300 lb.
