This is a picture of a Fender Twin Reverb.
This, according to professionals, is the most versatile amp ever
made. The "Twin," as it is called, is an all-tube combo
with 2x12 Eminence speakers. With 100 watts, the Twin packs more
power than most will ever need. If 100 watts is too much power, you
can switch it to 25 watts. It has an all-tube fender reverb,
tube tremolo, effects loop with Send and Return level controls, and an
external speaker jack. |
| The Digitech GNX 3 is a state-of-the-art amp
modeling processor. It allows you to warp amp models and cabinet
models, meaning that you can create your own signature sound. The
GNX 3 features and 8-track recorder with "Smart Card"
memory. It has stompbox modeling (10 of the most popular
distortions). The GNX 3 has and XLR input for recording vocals and a
built in rhythm trainer. |

The Dunlop Crybaby From Hell is
Dimebag Darrell's signature version of Dunlop's original Crybaby Wah.
Dimebag's version of the classic effect version features an extended sweep, a five-way selector, a
kick-in boost, and an extra input jack on the left-hand side of the
pedal. Wah is an effect that is common for rock and
metal. Several famous songs that require Wah are Pearl Jam's
"Alive" and Metallica's solo in "The Unforgiven." |
| Distortion is the most common effect used in
rock music. It can be used in bridge position for rock/metal, mid
pickup for country, and front pickup for blues. To the right is
Digitech's "Hot Rod" Distortion pedal (pictured left), which is arguably the
most versatile distortion pedal that is currently in production. Another
common type of distortion is Overdrive (pictured far right), which pushes the power of the amp
to reach a vintage tube distortion. Overdrive is used primarily in
blues and rock music. |
