IN THE BEGINING...
It all started with the Mickey Mouse Club. J.C Chasez, 15 years old and an awesome performer and entertainer was in the Mickey Mouse Club.
Justin Timberlake, only 12 years old also joined the Mickey Mouse Club a year later, he was the youngest one. He instantly became J.C's friend.
Joey Faton, Jr wasn't REALLY a part of the MMC. But, he did perform in a couple of movies and he also performed in DisneyWorld in Orlando, Florida. How did he meet the other two you ask? He was a back-up dancer in the MMC, and thats how they hooked up.
Chris Kirkpatric was a kid from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His dream was to be a singer. He didnt get to fulfill this dream until after highschool. He attended a highschool in Orlando, Florida. There he got a job in Universal Studios. At a gig, he met Joey. After a while, Joey eventually introdused Chirs to J.C and Justin.
For a while, it was just those four. They bonded with everything. They soon got the name "The kids with the mad moves".
They had a natural "thing" for dancing. And Chris decided that their main strenth should be singing which they were all awesome at too. The group gave it a shot. But they all realized they wanted another member of the group. The vocal coach the had been working with Justin for many years, suggested Lance Bass. Lance had in the past been in a singing group, traveling around Mississippi.
They needed a name! Justins mom thought of the name. She wanted something to represtent them. It is the last letter of all of their names, including Lance's nickname, Lanseton.
