Here are some of the basic tricks that you need to know when starting out. |

| Basic Ollie- This is the trick that all your other tricks branch off of. It takes time the get a good one down. Put your non- dominate foot in the middle. Put your back foot on the end. Kick down with your back foot very quickly then pull up with your right. | ![]() |
| 180 Ollie- Do your basic Ollie then turn as quick as you can 180 degrees. When learning at first, you might want to move your arms the way you want to turn. Start by rotating to your left (frontside) then move to your right (backside). | ![]() |
| Kickflip- This trick takes time to learn, don't get frustrated with it. Get in the Ollie position. Move your non-dominate foot down so that only your toes are on the board. Keep your ankle pointing at yourself. Ollie and kick your front foot down. Land and ride away. | ![]() |
| Heelflip- Get in the Ollie position, Ollie, kick your front foot foot out. Catch it clean and ride away. | ![]() |
