This is the Safety Page, which is based on the Pennsylvania State Game Commissions current laws and regulations. There are many laws that have been changed over the past 3 years. Although the laws have not been changed much over the last 20 years, they are now rapidly being revised. They are being changed due to shifts in animal populations. This web page will be focusing on the proper use and care of equipment along with some other treats. Have fun!

This is your average flintlock muzzleloader. It is the one of the most difficult and most dangerous type of rifle to work with. While using this gun you only get one shot at your target before reloading, and these types of guns are highly inaccurate. Also, muzzleloaders are very hard to load properly and 1 mistake could be deadly. A muzzleloader is most commonly used by an expert hunter who finds it too easy to use a normal rifle, or by a normal hunter just because of the extended seasons for muzzleloader.

This is a bow hunter who is legally hunting turkey. He is legally hunting but only if he has a fluorescent orange band around a tree within 15 feet of himself. If he were to move to a new location he would need to put on a florescent orange vest and hat, but only while he is moving.

This is a picture of a spring season turkey hunter. He is in complete camouflage. This is legal as long as he doesn't begin to stalk a turkey. While hunting turkey you must always be stationary and aren't aloud to fire at a turkey if you are currently on the move.

This is a quad used to transport a hunter from place to place, they are usually only used to go a long distance in a short amount of time. They are very loud and noisy and most hunters consider them a nuisance. The hunters that do use have to ride them then wait much longer due to the loud noise that spooks most wildlife. Although not very useful on a deer hunt, quads can be quite effective on a squirrel or rabbit hunt.
