Soprano Saxophone

The mouthpiece to this sax is very small.  It has a small reed and not much air has to be blown in to it to produce a sound.  It is black and it connects to the neck of the sax.  It is related to the other saxes as you can see to the left.
This neck for this sax is very thin and it isn't very long either.  It has a cork on the one end that connects to the mouthpiece, and the other end connects to the body of the sax.  Even though it is short and thin, it still is a important part of the sax.
The keys for this sax are very small and are pretty close together.  You don't need big fingers to play this sax, just the knowledge of which notes are which.  Like the other keys for the other saxes,  these close an air hole in the sax to produce a different sound.
The bell for this sax is very small, producing a very high-pitched sound.  Even though it still has a rim, it doesn't project the sound out very well at all.  The bell is straight which makes the whole sax straight.  There really isn't much else to say about the bell.
The neck strap for this sax is very small, but can be adjusted for any person.  This strap has the same concept as the other straps for the other saxes.  Even though you really don't need the strap all that much, it is always helpful to have one so it is more comfortable.
