Let's go back to when
Christina was only a little girl. She first began performing at the
age six in school talent shows. She has picked up the nickname the
"little girl who had a big voice" during her early years.
When Christina was eight she starred on the hit TV show "Star
Search." By the time she was ten, Christina joined the cast of
"the New Mickey Mouse Show." She appeared on the
Orlando-based show along with Britney Spears, J.C. and Justin from 'N
Sync, and Kerri Russell from 'Felicity.' Two years later, the show
ended and Christina got an opportunity to travel overseas to show people
her wonderful talent. In 1997, she performed in Tokyo, Japan (where
she released a single with Keizo Nakanishi called 'All I Wanna Do') and
Brasov. In early 1998, after completing some demos and shopping for a
record deal, Christina auditioned to sing 'Reflection' for Disney's
animated movie 'Mulan.' Christina fit all the aspects that the filmmakers
wanted. That went on to a garner a Golden Globe Nomination
for Best Original Song in a Motion Picture. Christina got the
attention of the best write and producers in the industry.

Back in 1999, Christina's breakthrough with her first #1 single 'Genie In A Bottle.' That song stayed atop the charts for five consecutive weeks which made her album to #1 upon its release in August 1999. Her next single 'What A Girl Wants' reached the first Billboard Hot 100 #1 slot of 2000. That helped to push the album into platinum territory many times over. 'Come On Over Baby' became the third #1 for the album later in 2000.
Christina not only had an awesome English album, but also a Spanish one
too. Her album 'Mi Reflejo' was release in fall 2000, along with a
seasonal album ready in time for the holidays. Christina is one of
the biggest divas. She teamed with Pink, Mia, and Lil' Kim and came
up with 'Lady Marmalade' from the 'Moulin Rouge' soundtrack which was #1
five weeks in a row. 'Lady Marmalade' was a big hit, it even took
how the 2001 MTV Video Award for 'Best Video of the Year'
She
had many of goals, she accomplished almost all of them. One goal she
accomplished was to have her own album recorded and released before she
graduated high school. Certainly she took quick strides toward that
goal.
Over all, Christina is overwhelmed as she is thrilled by her success. She thinks all of this is a roller-coaster ride and thinks she has grown and learned a lot about herself.
