Welcome to Outer Banks, North Carolina here you will find many fun things to do.
Some of the places you can visit when you are in Outer Banks are Nags Head which is home to Jockey's State Park which the hills were the take off points for the Wright brother's gliders.

You can also visit the Elizabethan Gardens in Fort Raleigh.  There are classical statues, are the grace and living memorial to the Lost Colony.

Another place you can visit is Cape Hatteras national seashore where there are vast expanses of water and sand.  You can take a ferry from the island to the Bodie Islands which is about a 2 hour ride.  When you are on the ferry you will most likely see many bottle nose dolphins.  Also you will see the Cape4 Hatteras light house that was built in 1870.  It is the tallest brick structure in the U.S..  You can visit the Pea Island National Refuge.  Which covers over 5,880 acres .  There are over 250 species of birds and there are also observation decks.  

Another thing you can do is go fishing in the Atlantic Ocean.  You can fish from the many peers.  Like the peer pictured at the top of the page.  You can also go fishing from the Banks.  The picture below is a picture of two little boys walking back from a fishing trip.

There is the Frisco National American Museum and Natural History Center.  There are exhibits of the Indians who inhabited the Hatteras Islands, Hopi wishing drum and self-guided tours so you can see wildlife and vegetation.
