First of all, his full name is Jordi Alejandro Vilasuso. His birthday is June 15 and he was born in Miami, Florida. Jordi is of Cuban descent but, there is also French in his family's heritage. Even though he was born in Miami he was raised in Coral Gables, Fl. While in Coral Gables, he attended Ranson Everglades High school and Glendale community college in California.
Jordi's father is Dr. Frank Vilasuso, who is the head of a pain management clinic, where Jordi's mother Ana helps out. Before, Jordi got into acting he used to work at the desk there, he wouldn't work with the people because he gets freaked out around sick people. Now, his younger sister helps there.
An interesting fact about his father is before he became the head doctor he was going to become a different kind of doctor, a doctor that was qualified to deliver Jordi, so he did.There is going to be more than just one doctor in the family because Jordi's brother Javier is in medical school right now. Javier got interested in medicine by working at his father's clinic with the rest of his family.
Other than his cousin's husband Andy Garcia, Jordi is the only actor in the family.
Jordi was very good in school and got a partial scholarship to the University of Miami, but passed it down to pursue acting in California. Ana, his mother, that was born in Cuba, disagreed with him about his acting career because she was worried about him, but his father supported him fully.
Another interesting fact is that Jordi and his father love watching the Godfather movies together.
Jordi is rising to the top, but never forgets about his very tight-knit family because he believes that family comes first. Jordi and his family love Key Biscayne. Since, his parents and grandparents have beach houses there, Jordi spends a lot of time there. He says it is the most relaxing place to be because the ages are so varied and well proportioned, not like Miami. Jordi stands at 5'10". His hobbies in Key Biscayne include fishing, snorkeling, and scuba diving.
Jordi is normal guy and it looks like he has a huge career ahead of him.
