Heinz Field was constructed in 2001 as a permanent football facility. The Panther use this stadium for their football games. Heinz Field is also the home of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Heinz Field has a heated grass-playing surface and houses a locker room solely for the Panthers use. The Petersen Events Center was constructed in 2001 as the permanent home of the Pittsburgh Panthers Basketball team. The Events Center is located on the site of the old Pitt Stadium in Oakland. This massive structure holds 22,000 seats, a suspended scoreboard, 27 concession stands, and 32 luxury suites. The Petersen Events Center is already sold out for the entire season. |  |
